Senior Jaden Nixon was recently selected by the state Department of Transportation to be a part of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s new Young Ambassadors Program. 

The Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful program is a program whose mission is to empower Pennsylvanians to keep communities clean and beautiful. 

The program received 84 applications and selected 35. Nixon is the only ambassador selected for Lycoming County. 

Nixon will be an ambassador for a 9-month term, with her first meeting tonight. Her term will end in May.

The goal of the program is to train ambassadors to provide education and training for the community. Ambassadors will also organize a clean up in the community. 

As a young ambassador, Nixon will be required to attend the orientation, workshops, and take part in networking opportunities throughout her term.
